COVID safety at the festival
Touchstone is committed to providing a safe environment at the festival. Our company is all happily vaccinated, and we know that most of our audience is as well, but we also know that this pandemic isn’t over yet. As such, please note that event details (venue, number of performances, seating capacity, etc.) may adjust as we do in order to provide a COVID-safe environment for ourselves and our community.
Bottom line: Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. Unsure if you should stay home? Take this questionnaire to help make an informed decision.
Thank you for your understanding and for staying flexible with us! With that said, here’s the rundown of our safety protocols…
OUTDOOR EVENTS: BARRIO STAGE, ESPERANZA GARDEN, SAND ISLAND
Participants/audience will be able to physically distance. We require unvaccinated guests to wear a mask (CDC mask guidance here). We welcome vaccinated guests to mask up, as they wish, and encourage masking when in close proximity to guests outside your group. We’ll have extras masks and plenty of hand sanitizer on hand, in case you need them.
INDOOR EVENTS: CHARLES A. BROWN ICE HOUSE
The Ice House is on city property; per City of Bethlehem guidelines, masks must be worn – regardless of vaccination status – by anyone visiting a government building. All ushers, box office staff, etc. will be masked; performers will be vaccinated and unmasked when onstage. As an audience member, please bring your own mask to wear; if you need one, we’ll have plenty of extras on hand. Seating will provide some physical distance “by pod”; ushers will place chairs out for you and your group.
INDOOR EVENTS: CAFE THE LODGE
Per Cafe the Lodge’s guidelines, masks must be worn – regardless of vaccination status – by anyone visiting their facility. All Touchstone staff, guest speakers, ushers, etc. will be masked. As a participant, please bring your own mask to wear; if you need one, we’ll have extras on hand. Seating will be in Cafe the Lodge’s Cappuccino Room and will provide some physical distancing. We’re encouraging people to order lunch to go or to eat before/after the discussion at their own table to avoid unmasked eating in a more intimate space. You may purchase drinks to consume and remove your mask to take a sip, but please replace your mask when not drinking. A Zoom option for participation will be available for the three Cafe the Lodge events.
