"Bring your love of the written word and an open ear” to Touchstone when the Greater Lehigh Valley Writer’s Group presents Writer’s Soirée. Local writers share and discuss their work, field questions, and mingle in Touchstone’s adjoining café space. http://www.glvwg.org/

This months Featured Artists: Dr. Katherine Ramsland, chair of the social sciences at DeSales University, has published thirty-three books, including Murder in the Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem Ghosts, True Stories of CSI, The CSI Effect, Inside the Minds of Healthcare Serial Killers, and The Human Predator: A Historical Chronology of Serial Murder and Forensic Investigation. She has been translated into ten languages; published fifteen short stories and over 800 articles on serial killers, criminology, forensic science, and criminal investigation. She currently contributes editorials on forensic issues to The Philadelphia Inquirer; writes a regular feature on historical forensics for The Forensic Examiner and teaches both forensic psychology and criminal justice. In addition, she has published biographies of both Anne Rice and Dean Koontz. She will bring copies of her new book, Murder in the Lehigh Valley, (publication date Sept. 4) written in collaboration with Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek, about two centuries of murder in this area.

Charles Kiernan, Storyteller - Pennsylvania born and raised, I've spent the better part of my life on the eastern side of the state. Somewhere in the dim past I remember graduating from Kutztown University. I'm married with two children, now grown, and spent many years in front of a computer terminal as a systems analyst for the County of Lehigh. Now retired from gainful employment, I perform at theatres, listening clubs, schools, libraries and arts festivals. I am coordinator for the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild, Pennsylvania State Representative for the National Youth Storytelling Showcase and State Liaison for the National Storytelling Network. I am also the recipient of the 2008 Individual Artist Award from the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission. I am author of the soon to be published YA fantasy novel, titled "Ailuros".

Ten Tiny Dances
Ten different visions. One very small stage. Local artist, Sarah Carlson, re-imagines a Portland classic. Ten dances will be woven together in micro-format to pack a major punch.
