American Playwright/Performer Lynn Manning retells
his life, before and after a bullet brutally took his
sight at age twenty-three, leading the audience
on a 90-minute wild ride through his South Central
LA upbringing and his struggle to reclaim his
independence.

3rd Annual Young Playwrights' Festival

This amazing night of theatre features original works by elementary and middle school student participants of Touchstone's Young Playwrights' Lab residency. Professional members of the Touchstone Ensemble and community actors will perform one-act plays on stage in an evening that will tickle your funny bone, expand your imagination, and renew your faith in the power of creative expression.

You’re also warmly invited to experience Touchstone Theatre’s first annual “invitation only” Gala Dessert Reception being held immediately following the Festival performances in Zoellner’s uniquely intimate Art Gallery. Limited to only 100 adult guests, the reception is designed to celebrate and cap off a wonderful evening. You’ll also enjoy a live auction for unique arts and cultural experiences from around the Lehigh Valley. Supporting the power of community arts education has never tasted so good!

The Lehigh Valley Black African Heritage History Project

Written by Linda Parris-Bailey

This original play Another River Flows is a powerful tapestry of theatre and song, woven from the common threads of oral tradition. Linda Parris-Bailey (Playwright), Peggy Pettitt (Actress/Story Gatherer), and world-renowned musician, Ysaye M. Barnwell (Song Gatherer/Arranger) join Touchstone's Ensemble and a host of community performers to share a century of the African American experience in the Lehigh Valley.

The Lehigh Valley Black African Heritage History Project is a collaborative partnership between Muhlenberg College, the Lehigh County Senior Center, the Lehigh County Historical Society, Kutztown University, the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society, and Touchstone Theatre.
